The Kokoda Challenge 2026 has been a massive success on multiple levels.
These performances are about 14 dedicated staff members, 56 dedicated students and parents who did so much work behind the scenes with getting their children to and from weekend practices. We are extremely proud of this school community effort and are so grateful for all the time, dedication and determination you have all shown, in true Kokoda spirit. Thank you.

In the first 10 primary schools across the line of this 1700 participant event, Benowa secured 8 of those. We are so proud of the effort and dedication from all staff, students and parents.
The Kokoda Challenge embodies the Spirit of Kokoda through Courage, Endurance, Mateship and Sacrifice and each student who participates is shown how these core values are still very relevant today.
Each team entering the Challenge is required to fundraise $265 to go towards the Kokoda Youth Foundation, an Australian charity who run a range of youth programs to support local youth and our teams are well on their way to reaching their fundraising targets.
Support our students in taking part in this year's Kokoda Challenge.
