Benowa State School has a dedicated Enrolment Officer to guide you seamlessly along the enrolment process.
Explained below are the three steps to enrolling your child/ren at Benowa State School:
1.
Do you reside within our catchment area?
Before you enrol, it is important to identify whether or not you live within the Benowa State School catchment area. Please visit the
Department of Education edMap website, enter your street address and the map will show you whether or not you are within the Benowa State School catchment. More information on our Catchment Area and Enrolment Management Plan can be found here.
2.
The Enrolment Application Process
The type of enrolment application you submit, is based on whether you reside within or out of our catchment and if you are starting Prep. Please download the enrolment application below or contact our Enrolment Officer to arrange collection of an enrolment pack from our Reception team.

Please note that we require original documentation (or originals witnessed by a Justice of the Peace/Commissioner of Declaration) where possible.
- Birth Certificate (or other documentary evidence)
- Current passport and visa for any child born overseas
- A primary source of proof of residence such as a rates notice or lease agreement
- A secondary source of proof of residence such as a recent electricity bill or drivers licence.
- Any medical information relevant to your child
- Legal/court order if applicable
On completing your enrolment application form, please submit along with the following documentation to Reception or directly to our Enrolments Officer at enrolments@benowass.eq.edu.au.

Enrolment Interview
If your application has been approved, our Enrolment Officer will contact you to arrange an appointment for you and your child/ren to attend an interview. This is the final step of the enrolment process.
We invite you to read our
Information Booklet prior to your enrolment interview so you can raise any questions you might have at that stage.
Prep Enrolments
If you are a parent or carer of a child starting Prep with us here at Benowa, we invite you to visit our Prep Enrolment page where you will find all the relevant information to start your child/ren on their journey to Prep.
School Tours
We welcome all prospective enrolments to join us on a tour of our school. Our tour dates for 2023 are listed below, please note we are only able to offer tours on these dates. If you would like to come along, please click the link below to be taken to our online booking system to register.
If you are enrolling your child into our Prep Program, we encourage you to join us for our Prep Information Sessions where a tour of our school is included.

Uniforms
Our Enrolment Officer will discuss our Uniform Policy with you at the enrolment interview and provide you with all information relating to fitting and purchasing at this time. More information on the Benowa State School uniform can be found here.
