RETURNING TO NORMAL OPERATING PROCEDURES FOR
DROP OFF AND COLLECTION OF CHILDREN
Congratulations on a successful transition to school. We certainly have great systems in place to make this transition smooth, and I thank you for your support.
From Monday 02 February, our routines will return to normal and remain that way for the rest of the year. This is summarised in our coloured pamphlet attached. Please read this thoroughly so you have a clear understanding of our systems.
There will no longer be any early collection of Prep aged students.
Any prep children not collected from the classroom at end of day will be placed under supervision in the prep play area under the shelter with all other students waiting for collection.
We provide supervision up until 3.20pm at the collection points indicated on the map. Delaying your pick-up until about 3.10pm significantly reduces congestion at 2.55pm when our bell sounds.
The Kiss and Go collection area in the Prep car park requires the following from you:
-
A large card with your surname in large capital letters placed on the passenger side sun visor for us to view and source your child by the time you arrive.
-
Please remain in your vehicle, except of course if you need to secure your child into their seat.
-
If you wish to come into the school grounds, you cannot park in the Kiss and Go. This is a ‘No Parking’ area as traffic needs to continually move through this lane.
All gates will be opened at 2.50pm by one of our staff members to signal that it is time to begin entering the school grounds. High School siblings collecting primary school siblings are requested to wait at the school collection points except if they are collecting a Prep sibling. In this case they are welcome to collect from the classroom. Our Years 1-6 students will be expected to move to one of the school collection points to meet up with their older brothers or sisters enrolled in high school.
