Please see the information below on where to park.

Benowa State School Reception

Car Parking

Parking is available in the Council carpark on the corner of Benowa Road and Allchurch Avenue and in the 2P parking spaces along Benowa Road, Allchurch Avenue and Carrara Street.

We request that parents refrain from parking in the NO PARKING ZONES on Allchurch Avenue to ensure the safety of our students while using bus services and to provide adequate room for these buses to utilise the turning circle and provide adequate room for emergency services to pass.

For the safety of our students, parents MUST NOT DRIVE into the school grounds to drop off or collect their children. Staff carparks are not for use by the general public. The short-term aspect in observing these precautions are minute compared with a life lost forever. Please set a good example for the safety of children and adhere to our road rules.

Kiss and Go Zone

Benowa State School  operates a Kiss and Go drop off and collection point on the corner of Benowa Road and Allchurch Avenue. The main goal of the Kiss and Go Zone is to provide a safe and streamlined way of getting your child/ren to you in your car so that you can move out of the area with some level of efficiency.

Parents now have access to a protected and supervised zone to:
  • Drop children off in the morning before school 8:00am - 9:00am; and
  • For collection in the afternoon 2:55pm - 3:20pm.

Families are required to register for a sign to place on the underside of their sun visor and have visible when utilising the zone. All staff associated with the Kiss and Go Zone Management will be wearing a pink high-visibility vest and equipped with walkie talkie to communicate names ahead of time so that your child/ren are ready for collection when you pull up.

If you are an occasional user of the Kiss and Go Zone, please make sure your child/ren are VERY clear on the days you intend to collect them from this zone. Remind your child/ren to go immediately to the Kiss and Go Zone collection area when released from class.

This Zone is a NON PARKING ZONE. All cars in the Kiss and Go Lane must be progressing toward the collection point outside our Prep area. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR VEHICLE unless it is to assist your child/ren in/out of the car. When you reach Kiss and Go Zone outside the Prep area, all children should be getting in/out on the passenger side of the car, directly onto the safe pedestrian pathway.

Pedestrian Crossing

Students are required to use the dedicated pedestrian crossings when arriving or leaving the School grounds. These are located on the corner of Allchurch Avenue and Benowa Road and in front of the school’s main entrance gate on Benowa Road. A crossing supervisor operates on Carrara Street pedestrian crossing only.

Riding to School

Bicycles and scooters should be parked in the racks provided. Students should bring their own chain and ensure their bike/scooter is locked securely to the rack. We would value your support in reinforcing to your child our policy of not riding bicycles or scooters in the school grounds for the safety of pedestrians. E-scooters, skateboards and roller skates are not permitted at school. All students must wear a helmet.
