Sustainability

Benowa State School is committed to reducing its environmental impact and promoting sustainable practices. With a population of approximately 880 students and100 staff, the school has a significant impact on the environment, including waste generation and resource consumption.

To address these impacts, the school has developed a School Environmental Management Plan (SEMP) to outline the measures it will take to reduce its environmental footprint and promote sustainability. This plan considers and refers to the Australian Government Environmental Management Plan Guidelines and seeks to minimise any negative impact on the natural environment.
