The EcoMarines Ambassadors program is an exciting initiative that empowers our students to become environmental leaders, with a special focus on protecting our oceans and marine life.
Our Eco Marine Ambassadors work together to raise awareness about marine conservation, sustainability and the importance of protecting our beautiful coastal environments. Through fun and educational activities, they will:
Promote awareness about the impact of plastic waste and pollution on marine life.
Organise sustainability events and other local environmental initiatives.
Learn about marine biodiversity and the species that rely on healthy oceans for survival.
Create presentations and projects to share their knowledge and inspire others to take action for the planet.![](/ExtraCurricular/PublishingImages/EcoMarines-24-2.png)
As an EcoMarine Ambassador, students represent our school and join a wider network of EcoMarines across Queensland. Throughout the school year, the EcoMarines Foundation host networking and education events, such as:
- Training Day event for Ambassadors to network, hear from industry experts and participate in environmental workshops hosted at a special environmental location
- Community events for EcoMarines friends and family
- End-of-year celebration event to highlight the amazing work that our Ambassadors and teachers have accomplished.
We believe that by giving our students the tools and knowledge to become stewards of the ocean, they will grow into responsible, environmentally conscious citizens. This program provides hands-on learning and encourages students to make a difference, not just in their school, but in the wider world.
The EcoMarine Ambassadors meet regularly, and we look forward to seeing the incredible impact they will have in our community and beyond. We encourage all students to get involved, share their ideas, and take part in upcoming projects and activities.
