To assist with facility upgrades and refurbishment projects across the school, a building fund has been established to be abe to receive tax deductable, voluntary contrbutions from families, local business and the community through our Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) initiative.
Our most recent project is the Prep Area Redevelopment Project.
The project donation window will open on Monday 01 September 2025 and close on Thursday 02 April 2026 with an estimated cost of $180,000.
This is a very exciting project for us and one that will create a wonderful space for our newest and youngest students to foster their love for learning through play.

This area is being developed so that students in prep classrooms will have access to outdoor learning areas to
explore and study to support aspects of the curriculum including our perceptual motor program.
The project will form two parts:
- Re-development of the early years outdoor learning space adjacent to Prep R and Prep P buildings running
the full length of the wheelchair ramp (as pictured).
- A large permanent hard covered structure completely covering the existing prep play space. Its purpose is to
expand shaded play areas for programs such as weekly Perceptual Motor Programs for the Prep classes,
which forms an integral component of the Australian Curriculum.

This project is being funded as a joint project between our School and P&C Association and
families, local business and wider community are invited to
make a voluntary tax-deductible contribution through the DGR.
Benowa State School Building Fund is endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office as a Deductible Gift Recipient
(DGR). This means all donations of $2 or more are tax deductible. On receipt of your donation, we will provide you with an official tax-deductible receipt for your records. Thank you for supporting our school and investing in the future of our students.
If you wish to make a voluntary contribution to our project, please contact the office on 07 5510 4333.
