Parents and Citizens
An active Parents’ and Citizens’ Association is in operation. The Association meets every 3rd Tuesday. Membership is open to all community members over the age of 18 years. The executive consists of the President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. The Principal is an ex-officio member. The P&C funds a Parent Liaison Officer for 8 hours a week, whose role it is to encourage parent involvement in the school.
New faces and new ideas are always welcome. An executive Committee (President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) for the following year are elected at the Annual General Meeting held in February.
In addition to the P&C, a range of committees or teams exist which provide further avenues for staff and parents to be involved in decision making. Examples include Parent Representatives, Safest Committee and Behaviour Management.
School Resourcing
A contribution scheme introduced to cover the costs of art supplies, photocopying and other classroom consumables is in place. It is highly desirable that all families contribute.
